Sergio is a brilliant architect. His wife loves him, he has a young mistress, his friends love him, his construction firm does good business. He's well off, his life is enviable. But one day a car accident forces him to stop and think about the contradictions and hypocrisy that make up his life. All of a sudden Sergio gives everything and everybody up, slowly sliding into a solitary and totally new life. The need to find answers leads him to wander into a labyrinth between dreams and reality that unravels between his now almost empty flat and the streets of Rome “by night”. His only companion during this journey and only tie to the past is Gianni one of his workers. Gianni will be the one who, thanks to his simplicity, will lead Sergio towards the goal of this long journey: happiness.
